New ThinkSystem V4 servers from Lenovo, powered by Intel Xeon 6 Processors, provide unparalleled versatility, performance, and aesthetics.

Utilizing Intel Xeon 6 CPUs, Lenovo unveiled three new infrastructure solutions aimed at transforming and improving data centers of all sizes into AI-enabled powerhouses. Among the solutions are the next-generation Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 servers, which have revolutionary performance and versatility, allowing them to handle any task while supporting potent AI capabilities in small, high-density designs. Lenovo provides the perfect combination of solutions that smoothly unleash intelligence and bring AI to wherever it is required, whether it be via hybrid cloud utilization, co-location, or edge deployment.

The new Lenovo ThinkSystem servers are designed specifically to handle the broadest range of workloads, including the most computationally demanding, from web serving to algorithmic trading, email to astrophysics, and CAE to CRM. With the new systems, organizations may improve management and increase productivity, attaining up to 6.1 times greater compute performance than earlier generation CPUs1 with Intel Xeon 6 with P-cores and up to 2 times the memory bandwidth2 when employing new MRDIMM technology, to scale and accelerate AI everywhere.

In addition, the systems are designed to provide greater performance in order to facilitate computationally demanding AI applications, while also addressing important power limitations. By continuously improving Lenovo Neptune liquid cooling, Lenovo is paving the way for a new era of more energy-efficient data center design that rethinks how IT uses power. New Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 servers with Intel Xeon 6 with E-Cores offer up to 3:1 rack consolidation of 5-year-old infrastructure, releasing space and power for new AI projects, thanks to increased density and efficiency as well as a 3.5x increase in thermal efficiency from Lenovo Neptune water cooling. The power used for cooling IT equipment is reduced, while the processing capability of the equipment is increased 3.

Scott Tease, vice president of Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group, Products, stated that "Lenovo is revolutionizing what is possible in the data center by offering intelligent and flexible infrastructure solutions that simplify and accelerate IT modernization." "The new Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 servers represent the next generation of performance and innovation, achieving higher computing with less energy consumption and delivering AI-powered management that empowers businesses with fast and protected AI deployment across any environment. With Intel, we're enabling our customers to scale smarter and evolve faster to achieve AI-powered transformation."

Performance and versatility without sacrifice

Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 servers with Intel Xeon 6 with P-cores provide outstanding performance and efficiency for tackling the biggest AI challenges across the broadest range of compute-intensive workloads thanks to more cores, more memory bandwidth, and AI acceleration in every core. The servers are also made with reliability and adaptability in mind for a variety of environments, such as colocation services, which are essential for businesses looking to deploy high-performance, private AI but lack the data center space or infrastructure for liquid cooling. Furthermore, enhanced physical and system security measures, such as a new locking bezel option that protects physical assets in remote environments, guarantee greater data protection, regardless of its location. The new Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 servers include the following features:

• SR630 V4: A data center powerhouse that is space-efficient, high-density, and engineered to maximize performance in restricted spaces while providing unmatched scalability and processing capacity for demanding applications. Because of its extremely high density, the 1U system is perfect for telcos, fintech businesses, and cloud service providers (CSPs), allowing them to handle real-time transactions with minimal floor space while still providing high throughput and low latency.

SR650 V4: With up to 25% more software GPU capability and a compact 2U form factor, it provides the most versatility for any task, offering up to 2x computation performance. With potential cost savings of up to 50% for GPU-intensive workloads6, it is perfect for engineering, modeling & simulation, and AI with a quick time to value.

• SR650a V4: specifically designed to provide AI capability in a small package that supports computationally demanding tasks like machine learning, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and media analytics. With front GPU access, the 2U2S platform can handle up to four double-wide GPUs, providing exceptional performance and simple maintenance without sacrificing memory capacity. This server is perfect for businesses that wish to advance AI innovation in a small, effective package.

The new Neptune Core Compute Complex Module of the Lenovo ThinkSystem V4 solutions also extends Lenovo Neptune liquid cooling from the CPU to the memory, enabling quicker workloads with lower power consumption, quieter operation, and lower fan speeds. Up to 18% of the electricity used by servers may be consumed by fans. The new Neptune module is designed to minimize air flow requirements, resulting in lower fan speeds and power consumption, as well as cooler temperatures for the components, which improves system health and extends its lifespan. Additionally, the new ThinkSystem SR650a extends cooling to four SW GPUs via the module.

Intelligent AI everywhere with AI-driven management

With integrated Lenovo systems management that frees up time and resources throughout the ThinkSystem V4 range, businesses can confidently implement sophisticated AI applications. XClarity One acts as a central command center and offers a simple user interface for quick, effective, and secure deployment from a single system to thousands of systems. The new integrated Enterprise Remote Control allows for remote management and access to business infrastructure regardless of location. Furthermore, the new AI-driven analytics on XClarity One provides Server SSD Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA), which helps to reduce downtime by identifying possible DIMM issues before they occur. Lastly, XClarity One now has a Federated Directory that centralizes system access across several applications through a single registry and account.

Lenovo keeps pushing the frontiers of innovation by providing potent, adaptable, and ethical AI solutions that make the new era of AI-powered innovation accessible to all. Lenovo's technology allows businesses to stay ahead in an AI-driven world, generate intelligent change, and explore new opportunities, from edge computing to massive data centers.
